SANDWICH ON A STICK

INGREDIENTS

  • Whole wheat bread

  • Cheese (try Cheddar, Marble Jack, or Mozzarella)

  • Meat (try leftover chicken or turkey slices)

    Sandwich toppings:

  • Try sliced cucumbers

  • bell peppers

  • mushrooms

  • spinach

  • grape tomatoes

  • lettuce

  • pickles, and/or olivesMustard (optional) 

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut up cubes of bread, cheese, and lunch meat 

2. Slide the cubes onto a skewer with other foods your child likes, such as a grape tomato, a piece of lettuce, a pickle, or an olive.

3. Set out a side of mustard for dipping, if desired.

Tip:  Try using skinny pretzel rods instead of skewers for a completely edible ‘stickwich’!
